That saves a lot of cleanup and a lot of time and if it’s healthy for you and the environment it’s healthy for me. because I have to work in it all day long. I am careful to use good paint with very low pollutants. It’s called VOCs measurement of the amount of polluting chemicals in the paint. Behr paint is below zero VOCs, very good for the environment and it’s safe around animals, including birds.Birds are really sensitive to paint fumes and so are some plants but Behr paint is the safest Painter Erie PA I’ve ever used. Almost no smell to it at all, number one on the market. Yes I do use other Painter Erie PA Vel Spar and Sherwin Williams, sometimes Benjamin Moore, but I’d prefer to use Behr paint company products from my experience. Behr is the best. for It’s been going on a streak for 25 years. It’s been the number one paint for 26 years. amazing isn’t it.
We used to use a lot of oil based paints and I don’t miss it. oil base is really hard to get and oil base finish paint doesn’t exist anymore, especially in our state in New York and in California.
Everything is latex now and they’ve come a long way with latex paints. Being able to cover up stains and being able to paint over oil bases. They have some really beautiful latex paints, but I do miss the hard oil based paint enamel. It was really good hard paint. We can’t match the durability of oil based with latex. I’m sorry, I like oil bases for that reason. But latex paint is so much faster and the cleanup is so much easier. and I don’t miss the smell of oil based Painter Erie PA one bit. I don’t like it on my clothes. I don’t like it because of my allergies and I don’t like it in my truck and the customers are always happier with the latex environment because it doesn’t stink up the whole house much better and safer for the children and for the animals and the plants and everything. I am grateful that we are now using latex paint.
The oil bases would take overnight to dry hard to control dust when the paint is like fly paper all night long.
Latex Painter Erie PA is dry nowadays in an hour or two at the most. mostly in one hour unless it’s cold and wet outside most paint is paint and primer except for porch deck, paints, and cheaper paints. Then we have to use primer and if the woodwork has an oil base shiny paint. We usually have to use a primer. I don’t know what it is about the porch paint . doesn’t have paint & primer, it’s just ordinary paint with urethane reinforcement to make it a harder finish. So the result is we have to use primer and it’s hard to find a good primer that works for floor decks because of walking on it but where there is a will there’s always a way. I do like that deck over which the Behr paint company makes it. but it’s not the cure all . doesn’t fix everything and I do like Behrs basement sealer. Number one on the market. You could also paint over metal with their house. Paint and rust does not bleed back through it. Rust oleum for metal is paint you could put on metal from my experience. It would last for a year or two if you’re lucky. Consequently, I don’t believe in being lucky, labor school of hard knocks as skill is better than luck.
We don’t need luck, skill is better than luck. I’ve done a lot of varnishing inside and outside but now because of environmental controllers.
There is no good oil base urethane for outside doors. They’ve gone a little too far with this environmental control. The payoff is not worth it. The doors now are being coded with I mean the outside doors coded with latex and badly modified oil bases. Lucky to get three months out of it a perfectly done Painter Erie PA stain and urethane door for outside yeah 3 to 6 months. They will tell you that if you ask, Min Wax told me that. That is so discouraging because with a good oil base urethane back in a day we were getting 10 years out of two coats of urethane. and a coat of stain, on outside doors, not these days. Everything is latex and there is no such thing as a good Painter Erie PA latex that holds up outside, for staining and varnish outside doors but when I paint walls siding woodwork outside with latex paint, I’m getting anywhere from 5 to 10 years out of it . That is good when I am using Behr paint company products. The Marquee is good and that is top-of-the-line, but there is one better.
