I have never seen mold growing on Behr paint products. Even when people tell me the mildew is a real problem on the outside of their house, but all other products, Benjamin Moore, and all the rest of them I’ve seen a lot of mold growing back on the paint. But not with Behr paint company. Mold is not good on a house or in a house, very bad for your health and for the condition of the wood mold grows under paint specially where peeling. I do all I can to kill the mold and use bear paint to keep it from coming back, never ever ever paint over mold or mildew. I’ve seen more people do painting over it and then they have never ending problems. because it gets in the wood and destroys the wood and I’ve seen a lot of it inside where some foolish person painted over it. Even the paint can label says not to paint over mold and mildew. wash it down first scrub it, get the mold off there before you paint.
I’ve seen a transition from oil base Painter Erie PA to latex Painter Erie PA.
It was a long time before you could get good latex to do well outside and on the woodwork inside, but it’s good now, very good except the paint is not anywhere near as hard as the oil base was. and that can be somewhat of a problem, especially on doors and doorways, but that’s what we have and that’s all we have used to do a lot of floors, but not any more because everything’s latex. it’s just not hard enough to walk on. Scratching is too easy. They do have some terribly modified varnishes for floors, but I want to use it there is nothing yet that I know of. That’s good varnish for floors and for outside there is nothing that I know of. It’s this kind of knowledge that I have that people were interested in because I know what to do and I know what not to do and I do read the labels and I get familiar with the products and the paint companies, cause I’m promoting their paint so I want to be fair to my customers and be in a know of it…

But products are ever changing because environmental controllers want to control everything and give our work to China.
China is the biggest Polluters on earth. America is not that polluted, not even close. I’d prefer to buy American made paint and other products American made as the best we have done pretty well with our environment. China has not followed any rules.
